Japanese Kitchen knives from Fukui Japan


The town of Echizen, Japan is known for its hand forged knives, where craftsmen have perfected their art for over 700 years.
For the first time, eight master bladesmiths from this tradition will travel to New York City along with a carefully selected gallery of their finest work. Over the course of this week-long event at Kajitsu, one of the leading destinations for Japanese cuisine, the bladesmiths will lead workshops in knife techniques, such as blade forging and whetstone sharpening.
